We are currently seeking a qualified Assistant Service Manager to join in our growing National Mechanical Division. The selected individual will work closely with our Service, Sales & Finance departments to ensure the highest level of satisfaction to our internal and external customers.
Role and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
– Receive & enter customer calls for emergency and scheduled services
– Troubleshoot Burner/Boiler issues with Customers & Service Mechanics
– Dispatch Mechanics to service calls
– Issue & approve purchase orders
– Review & approve Customer Invoices
– Interpret Mechanic field notes to determine additional work requirements
– Prepare Customer Proposals
– Act as point person for Mechanic technical support
– Work rotation as “On Call” Manager for nights & weekends
– Communicate with our office suppliers & vendors
– Payroll Processing (time keeping/tracking)
– Provide general administrative support within the office
– Visit the field, when necessary, to meet with technicians or customers
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Field Experience & Working Knowledge of Steam and Hydronic Systems, various Oil & Gas Fired Burners (including, not limited to: IC, CB, Webster, Power Flame, Carlin, Becket, LAARs, Lochivar, Camus as well as Condensing and Atmospheric burners)
– Knowledge of Boiler room equipment including controls, relays, contactors, line-starters, motors, VFD, safety devices and interlocks associated with Boiler/Burners
– 3+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced office environment
– Previous customer service experience in an industrial or service industry preferred
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
– Courteous, professional demeanor
